Deadlines spur action, and nowhere is this more true than in the NFL. A few deadlines for a trade for Darrelle Revis have come and gone: his first $1 million bonus this offseason, the start of free agency, the league meetings -- but one deadline looms above all: the 2013 NFL Draft, after which it becomes impossible to use any 2013 draft picks in a trade.
And that's what New York Daily News reported Manish Mehta has heard is the deadline for the Jets, too.
Jets GM John Idzik is expected to pull the trigger on a Darrelle Revis trade to Buccaneers if price is right during week of draft, I'm told

Now the question is whether the Buccaneers are offering what Idzik may consider the "right price". The Bucs have reportedly offered a 2014 first-round pick along with an undetermined second-round pick as their highest offer, but they may be prepared to make stronger offers. There's a limit to what they will offer -- but no one knows where that limit is.
At least we now have a new deadline to look forward to: the week starting April 22.
