Darrelle Revis injury: cornerback will visit Jets' doctors on Monday

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still interested in Darrelle Revis, despite some recent reports that suggested their interest might be waning. One key point in the negotiations will be the status of Revis' rehabilitation as he recovers from knee surgery. According to the New York Daily News, Revis will meet with both the New York Jets' team doctors as well as the surgeon who operated on his knee next Monday.

The evaluation of Revis' knee will be a critical part of any trade, and the Buccaneers will want to have him meet with their own doctors and possibly other experts before finalizing any trade. That's why the real deadline for a trade is believed to be around a week before the NFL draft starts on April 25 to allow the Bucs to give Revis a thorough medical examination.

Revis' rehabilitation is going according to schedule by all accounts and he should be ready to go once the season starts, but the Buccaneers would be fools to take chances when they can simply make a trade contingent on a medical examination.
