2014 NFL Draft Order: Texans take over the top pick

The Houston Texans will grab the top pick with a loss today, while the Jaguars are still in play for Teddy Bridgewater.

The Texans have taken the top pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, for now, thanks to the Jacksonville Jaguars' win against the Cleveland Browns today. They control their destiny: continue to lose out, and they'll have the top pick in the draft along with (presumably) Teddy Bridgewater.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars continue to lose ground while the Bucs are crawling back in it. They're by far the least likely of the bottom five teams to own that pick because of their incredibly tough strength of schedule, though. Texans-Jaguars next week is setting up to be an absolutely crucial game for Teddy Bridgewater's destiny, while the Falcons' presence at the top of the draft will make for some nice intrigue come May.

We'll update this post as more results come in today, and we have a static page with an always update-to-date 2014 NFL draft order here.
