Darrelle Revis injury: Buccaneers cornerback suffers groin injury in first half

Darrelle Revis suffered a groin injury at the end of the first half of the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions.

Revis was matched up with Calvin Johnson for most of the game, but we won't see that for the remainder of the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions. The Buccaneers are calling his return from a groin injury "questionable", and Laura Okmin of FOX mentioned that if he returns the Bucs will give him more help than he has had throughout the game.

The Lions have attacked Tampa Bay's secondary with a lot of success, going after backup cornerback Leonard Johnson and targeting Nate Burleson repeatedly. Burleson has five catches for 67 yards in the game so far. The Bucs are also without All-Pro safety Dashon Goldson and middle linebacker Mason Foster, further limiting their defense. With the Bucs struggling to generate a pass rush outside of star defensive tackle Gerald McCoy they can't rely on four-man rushes and zone coverage, either.

Tampa Bay leads Detroit 17-14 at the start of the second half.
