Safety Dashon Goldson did not travel with the team to Seattle, according to Buccaneers.com editor Scott Smith. Goldson suffered a knee injury against the Atlanta Falcons and was forced to miss last week's game due to this injury as well.
This means the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without their star safety and will likely be forced to play Mark Barron away from the box again, taking him away from what he does best. Keith Tandy and Kelcie McCray are likely to split snaps to replace Goldson, as they did against the Carolina Panthers last week.
With Goldson out the Buccaneers will be limited in the secondary, although the return of Danny Gorrer will allow them to rely less on their safeties and play more of their cornerbacks in nickel and dime sets. The Seahawks are very limited in their receiving corps as well, as they lost Sidney Rice to injury last week and will be without Percy Harvin as well.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off against the Seattle Seahawks at 4:05 PM in Seattle tomorrow afternoon.
