The Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn't play a game, but they still suck. SB Nation has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the 31st team in the NFL.
Greg Schiano got his wish, shipping off counterculture revolutionary Josh Freeman. He will not rest until all of the tomfoolery in America's strip club capital is erased. He was insistent in a call with the poor season ticket holders, all three of them, that he was RoboCop. He still has Peter King on his side, just not his players.
30th is a much more common ranking, apparently. Of the SB Nation team blogs, Behind The Steel Curtain, Mile High Report, Revenge of the Birds, Cincy Jungle, The Phinsider and Blogging the Boys all have the Bucs 30th. Bleeding Green Nation and Big Blue View have them 29th. Nationally, they're more commonly ranked 31st, as with ESPN, Fox Sports and CBS Sports.
This shouldn't be a surprise, of course. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of four winless teams, and they've had so much drama heaped on them in past weeks that they're bound to look bad. But they may also be the best of the four winless teams. They have one of the best defenses in the NFL, and that alone should place them squarely above the Steelers and Giants.
For that to happen the Bucs will first have to go out and win some games, though.
