The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have filled a roster spot by claiming cornerback Bobby Felder off waivers. The Bucs had an open roster spot after placing Mike Williams on injured reserve.
Felder has played in exactly 0 career games after he went undrafted out of Nicholls State last year. He's spent that time with the Minnesota Vikings both on the practice squad and on the regular season roster without every seeing any in-game action.
The addition of Felder may signal that Danny Gorrer is not yet ready to return to active duty after he was placed on injured reserve designated for return at the start of this season. Gorrer was expected to return this week, and has practice with the team, though it's not clear to what extent he's healthy. The team's cornerback depth is lacking a little, with Darrelle Revis, Johnthan Banks and Leonard Johnson being the top three cornerbacks. Michael Adams returned from injury last week to fill the dime cornerback role.
