The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released defensive end Trevor Scott and added wide receiver Skye Dawson to the regular season roster. Veteran Trevor Scott's salary was effectively guaranteed after being on the roster week one, but he has not done much this year after looking impressive in the preseason. His release may give Da'Quan Bowers and William Gholston a little more playing time.
Skye Dawson's promotion may be related to the injuries to Chris Owusu and Mike Williams, who are both listed as questionable for tonight's game. The undrafted rookie out of TCU didn't do much in college nor in the preseason, but the Buccaneers apparently think he can make a difference for them on the field. Dawson was on the roster last week, but was waived to make room for running back Bobby Rainey.
The Bucs also announced yesterday that they had waived Jordan Rodgers from the practice squad, but they have now re-signed him to the practice squad.
