2013 mock off season 2.0

ok guys so my thoughts have changed slightly on a couple of things here we are projected to have 31.5 million to spend this offseason according to the bleacher report

resign

S/CB Ronde Barber if possible

DE Micheal Bennet

CB E.J. Biggers

release or let go of:

RB Lagarrette Blount

CB Eric Wright

DT Roy Miller

RT Jeremy Trueblood

restructure contract

OLB Quincy Black

Free Agency

WR Danny Amendola- as a slot receiver to go with Jackson and Williams about $3.5 million per year

DT Henry Melton- Dude was destructive with the bears and would make a great pair with McCoy about $6 million per year

FS Jairus Byrd- One of the best safeties in the league and would instantly upgrade the secondary about $7million per year

CB Chris Houston- used to play for Atlanta is a great experienced cover corner about $3.5 million per year

RT Andre Smith- we need help to replace the right tackle position about $4 million per year

The Draft

-trade back with a team like the steelers at 17 for their first and 3rd we give up 1st and 7th

1st- CB Xavier Rhodes Florida State- kid is a great cover corner to work opposite chris houston

2nd- TE Zach Ertz Stanford- would improve and replace dallas clark

-trade back into 2nd round with Houston at #57 with the acquired steelers 3rd round pick and our 6th round pick

2nd- CB Logan Ryan Rutgers- Another very good 3rd cb to add depth at the position and great talent

3rd- LB Khaseem Greene Rutgers- guy can flat out play adds depth, talent, and competition at lb position

4th- OT Justin Pugh Syracuse- need to bring in talent at the rt position this guy is pretty good on film

4th from patriots- RB Stephan Taylor Stanford- losing blount creates a depth problem at Rb this guy had a tremendous year at Stanford and can pass protect as well.

5th- DT Cory Grissom South Florida- hometown kid great tackler and a big body backup in the middle for situational defense.

draft picks with rookie contracts combined total cost is about 6 million on average against the cap

This would solve the secondary issues, slot wide receiver, tight end, back up running back, linebacker, and offensive line issues.
