The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are lading the Carolina Panthers 13-0 going into the half. Wow. Who could have expected that? The Bucs are doing work: Josh Freeman is 12/14 for 122 yards and a touchdown, Mike Williams has looked pretty good, Vincent Jackson is a beast with 3 catches for 43 yards, Doug Martin looks like the complete back the Bucs were looking for.
To cap it all off, even the defense is doing work - they're pitching a shutout! The Panthers have a whopping -1 yards rushing going into the half, while Newton hasn't gotten the Panthers beyond the 40-yard line. The Bucs have one sack, but pressured Newton consistently toward the end of the half, with Gerald McCoy looking especially great.
So far so good. So, let's go Bucs. The game is temporarily suspended due to lightning, but when it comes back, here's your second half game thread!
