Quick Roundup: Bucs waive Jordan Jefferson, Josh Freeman loved Taco Bell, Greg Schiano loves drinking (water)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

I haven't found a spot to post about these three minor tidbits of information, but I did want to get something up on these stories.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers waive Jordan Jefferson

The Buccaneers have officially signed wide receiver Tiquan Underwood, also known as The Hair. As a result, the Bucs are forced to waive one player to stay under the roster limit. The team originally wanted to release DT Myles Wade, but changed its mind after Da'Quan Bowers' injury, instead released former LSU QB Jordan Jefferson.

Josh Freeman loved Taco Bell

Josh Freeman loved him some Taco Bell, as JoeBucsFan pointed out. Apparently, his loss of over 20 pounds was caused in large part by a change in diet. Not going to Taco Bell every night is apparently a good way to lose weight. I am shocked!

Greg Schiano wants his players to have two drinks of water in the meeting room

I noticed this a while ago when JoeBucsFan posted on it, but didn't think to post on it. Smartfootball put it in an interesting context, though. Not only does this prevent dehydration, which is pretty useful in and of itself. It allows practice time on the field to be used more efficiently, and that time is limited due to CBA rules. Players don't have to worry about hydration as much, but those practices can be a little more intense and conducted at a higher tempo.

Da'Quan Bowers' surgery was successful

This really tells us nothing, but it's still good to know. Bowers had successful surgery today. Now a lengthy rehab process starts, which could conceivably end with him playing a few games during the regular season.
