2013 NFL Draft Order: Buccaneers pick at 13

Kevin C. Cox

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have the thirteenth pick in the 2013 NFL draft, per Mocking the Draft. The Bucs will likely look to improve their pass defense with that pick, as their secondary has been torn apart this season. The Bucs are tied with four other teams with a 7-9 record, but lose based on strength of schedule to the San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins. The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints pick fourteenth and fifteenth respectively.

The Bucs will cycle their pick with those teams in subsequent rounds. This means they will hold the the twelfth pick in the second round, the eleventh pick in the third round, the fifteenth pick in the fourth round, the fourteenth pick in the fifth round, the thirteenth pick in the sixth round and the twelfth pick in the seventh round. In addition, they hold the New England Patriots' pick in the fourth round. That pick will fall somewhere between the 25th and 32nd in that round, depending on the Patriots' playoff finish. The Bucs hold that pick as a result of trading Aqib Talib to New England.
