Chiefs - Buccaneers Inactives: Roy Miller, Jonathan Bladwin Active; Jamon Meredith Starts

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Kansas City Chiefs will miss quarterback Matt Cassel today against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but wide receiver Jon Baldwin is active, giving them a little more bite in the passing game even with Brady Quinn under center. Running back Peyton Hillis and defensive end Glenn Dorsey will also miss today's game for the Chiefs.

On the Bucs' side, defensive tackle Roy Miller is active despite suffering from back spasms during the week. Miller has been a key player in Tampa Bay's stifling run defense this season, and will play an important role in stopping Jamaal Charles this week.

Cornerback E.J. Biggers will replace the suspended Aqib Talib, while Jamon Meredith will replace Ted Larsen at right guard, the Bucs have announced. In another effort to get the team's running game started, newly signed tight end Nate Byham is active today. Rookies Keith Tandy and Najee Goode are once again inactive.
