The Top 10 Draft Busts in Buccaneers History - #3

Today we get to a really early draft pick. 1978, to be precise. But within that draft the pick was pretty late: second-rounder, 44th overall. So how did Brett Moritz get to be this high? By playing just 6 games and staying on the roster for just a season. There are plenty of really bad second-round draft picks, but 6 games? That's really impressively bad. Worse yet, he didn't play a single snap - it was all special teams work. And that horrible performance gets him the honor of being the #3 worst draft bust of the Buccaneers. A largely unknown player, but when I looked at the history of the Bucs' draft picks he really stood out, along with tomorrow's pick.

The list so far:

10. Rod Jones

9. Reidel Anthony

8. Gaines Adams

7. Eric Curry

6. Keith McCants

5. Charles McRae

4. Booker Reese

3. Brett Moritz
