Report: Jovan Haye, John McCargo and others try out with Buccaneers

Per Aaron Wilson of Scout.com, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have held tryouts for running backs and defensive linemen. Aaron Wilson said the Bucs tried out three different running backs and six total defensive linemen, and he specifically named DTs John McCargo and Jovan Haye

The Bucs need help at defensive tackle with Gerald McCoy and Frank Okam's injuries, and McCargo and Haye would fit the bill. John McCargo is a former first-round pick for the Buffalo Bills who spent some time with the Bucs in preseason. He looked pretty decent in the final preseason game, but didn't make the roster.

Jovan Haye is a former Buc, who had a 6-sack season for Tampa Bay in 2007. He followed that up with a rather disappointing 2008 season before signing with the Tennessee Titans, who cut him after the preseason this year. The Bucs are likely to sign one of those two players, as both could come in and play immediately.
