Luke Stocker injured his knee at some point during Monday's game, although he was still in on the third-to-last play of the game. Raheem Morris classified his injury as "week-to-week" today. This means the rookie tight end is unlikely to play against the San Francisco 49ers. That's a big hit to the Bucs' offense, which relies on Luke Stocker's run blocking and targeted him four times in the passing game on Monday.
The Bucs have two rookie TEs on the roster in Zack Pianalto and Collin Franklin to replace Luke Stocker. Pianalto has barely seen the field and missed Monday's game with an injury, which lead to the Bucs promoting Franklin from the practice squad. Franklin played some snaps against the Colts, but didn't do anything to stand out.
In addition, Raheem Morris made it clear that Frank Okam would return against the 49ers. Who was out of the lineup because the Colts have a zone-based running game, which is best stopped with penetration and quickness, Okam's weakest points.
Finally, the Bucs signed T Chris Riley to the practice squad after the Miami Dolphins poached G/T Will Barker off that very same practice squad. Riley comes from illinois State and spent part of the preseason with the Cincinnati Bengals.
