It's one thing to shut down the Cleveland Browns running game for a half. It's another to take on DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and the Carolina ground game. This is where Gerald McCoy, Barrett Ruud, and the front 7 will have to bring their lunch pail and put together a complete performance in stopping the run and forcing QB Matt Moore into some mistakes.
Conversely, Josh Freeman must play much, much smarter than he did here last season. Hopefully that thumb is a little bit more healed from last week, which clearly contributed to some off-target throws.
Go Bucs!
Bucs inactives: RB Kareem Huggins, CB Myron Lewis, RB Legarrette Blount, LB Niko Koutouvides, C Ted Larsen, DE Michael Bennett, WR Preston Parker
Panthers inactives: DE Tyler Brayton, WR Armanti Edwards, WR Brandon LaFell, DT Louis Leonard, OL Jeff Otah, QB Tony Pike, LB Jordan Senn, CB C.J. Wilson
This means Kellen Winslow II will be starting, and Maurice Stovall probably will too.
