My A/C is out (again) and I'm sweating profusely, so this will be short.
Several players had their second day of camp end prematurely due to minor injuries, including DT Brian Price. He twinged up his hammy a bit early in Satuday's workout, as did Dekoda Watson. Myron Lewis was also held out with an abdominal strain.
Raheem Morris puts some of the blame on the workout schedule the players have had to go through in the offseason, namely preparing for the combine.
Raheem also stated that he expects the Bucs to sign 3 or 4 tryout players from this weekend's camp, meaning they would be eligible to attend training camp with the signed draftees/UDFAs, the practice squad, and the 53-man roster. Morris and Dominik will get together today to make decisions on who will stick around. Reminds me of Rudy: "maybe we'll keep a couple of ya'."
Who might be one of those guys? Roy Cummings thinks it could be Preston Parker, who's managed to get the attention of, and receive positive comments from, Raheem Morris.
Buccaneers.com has an interview with Myron Lewis.
Josh Freeman stepped outside the friendly confines of One Buc Place to check out some action at camp, and he seemed to like what he saw from his new receiving toys:
"That was my reason for coming out here, just to see these guys in real life, see them in action, running routes and making plays,'' Freeman said. "Yeah, I liked what I saw. They're two explosive guys with great hands and it will be interesting to see how they blend into our system and our scheme.
