This may seem like old news to you, but in reality the uncapped year will not official until midnight tonight. As the clock strikes twelve, the salary cap as we know it will vanish, perhaps for an extended period of time. This, of course, is what we all expect based on the lack of talks and progress between the owners and the player's union.
There is always the chance that an extension could be granted and talks will resume with free agency put on hold, but with the lack of progress to this point, and the owners openly discussing the uncapped scenarios, it just doesn't seem likely that anything will happen.
This of course brings roster cuts into focus and the question on how you will structure contracts for free agents and rookies with no idea what future league years bring.
What's your take on this? Is the uncapped year a good thing?
