In news out of One Buc Place, it has been announced that starting Free Safety Tanard Jackson will be suspended for the first four regular season games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
No word on what exactly T-Jack did/took to violate the policy at this point, but Mark Dominik did announce that Jackson would not appeal the decision.
Down another safety from last year. It looks like Donte Nicholson (per Pewter Report, Will Allen will step in, though the depth chart lists Nicholson as the back up) would step in, but that leaves us pretty thin. Jermaine Phillips was seen taking snaps at safety and Morris did say that Flip might slide back there if an injury opened up a hole. Morris didn't relate the suspension to Flip moving, but read between the lines.
Editor's Note: I hope we don't hear this excuse. "I took an over the counter supplement and something in there wasn't on the approved list. I didn't know about it, but I guess I have to pay the price." If we hear that, the standard response will be "You should pay attention to what you are putting in your body." Just wanted to prepare you for this in the event they happen.
