With the 155th Pick in the NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select:

No. 155

Presented by Buc'Em

Xavier Fulton
Offensive Tackle
Illinois

You would think the Bucs would continue to address the defense and it’s needs but its hard to argue adding depth to the offensive line. Dan from Mocking the Draft said Fulton would have been a 2nd Round pick had he remained healthy. With Donald Penn disgruntled with making $2 million (give me a break) and Jeremy Trueblood consistently getting penalized this wasn’t a bad route to go in the 5th Round of the NFL Draft.

Per Draft Countdown:

Xavier Fulton

6’4, 302 pounds | Illinois | Offensive Tackle

Strengths: Very athletic...Has a large frame with long arms...Quick and agile with good balance...Nimble with excellent feet...Good range to pull and get to the second level...Natural knee bender...Slides well laterally...Is able to recover when beat...Can protect the edge and handle speed rushers...Comfortable in space...Offers some versatility...Has upside.

Weaknesses: Needs to add weight and bulk up...Isn't very strong or powerful...Not stout at the point of attack and will get knocked backwards...Doesn't get a great push in the run game...Isn't much of a technician...Does not use his hands well...Has trouble sustaining his blocks...Not a finisher and lacks a killer instinct...Average awareness...Durability's a concern.
