Julius Peppers will accept a trade to Four Teams, Tampa Bay is one

…UPDATE…

The Panthers have signed Jordan Gross and placed their Franchise Tag on Julius Peppers. The quest for the Bucs to sign Julius Peppers has officially ended. So much for that, there is no way the Panthers trade Peppers within the division. He’s either staying there for Mega money, getting traded to the Cowboys, or a team in the AFC… Damn, good luck Peppers!!

Darin Gantt of the Herald Online is reporting sources close with the Julius Peppers camp have circulated a list of just four teams to which he's willing to accept a trade. Of those four teams two are from the NFC South. #1 The Saints are over the Cap so forget them, #2 The Bucs have more Cap Space than the Falcons ($46 mil - $9 mil for Bryant is > than the $20 million the Falcons possess). The other two teams? Dallas who doesnt have a 1st Round Pick this off-season and an unknown AFC Team?

The clock is ticking for the Carolina Panthers. They have until 4pm tomorrow (Feb. 19th) to franchise tag Julius Peppers. They also have OT Jordan Gross who has yet to re-sign and the Panthers may be stuck with the choice to tag one or the other... I'm not getting excited yet, but there's hope JP reaches the Free Agency Market. Come on Football Gods, you kicked me in the nads when Alge Crumpler became available last off-season, let's not go down that road again.
