The Polls are OPEN, forget the Presidency, VotE for Pro Bowl

It’s TIME… The NFL has opened the polls for Fans to VotE their favorite (and deserving) football players into the 2009 Pro Bowl in Hawaii. To vote click here. Voting ends December 9th at 12pm est, Selections will be announced on the NFL Network’s Pro Bowl Selection Show, Tuesday December 16. The 2009 NFL Pro Bowl will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday, February 8.

Fans who vote for Pro Bowl players will then be able to enter for a chance to win a trip to Hawaii to attend the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl. The grand prize includes an all-expense paid five-day, four-night trip for the winner and one guest to the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl in Honolulu. In addition to air transportation, ground transportation, hotel accommodations and two game tickets, the winner and guest will receive two tickets to the NFL Pro Bowl Tailgate Party, an exclusive State Farm "I'm There" opportunity and will meet eight-time NFL Pro Bowl selection and Pro Football Hall of Fame member HOWIE LONG. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win.

If you’re unfamiliar with the voting process; the AFC and NFC All-Star squads are based on the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group's vote counts one-third towards determining the 43-man rosters that represent the American Football Conference and National Football Conference in the Pro Bowl. NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on December 11 - 12.

Last year’s top five vote getters were: Jeff Garcia, Brett Favre, Jon Gruden, Tom Brady, Monte Kiffin, Peyton Manning, Mike Alstott, Tony Romo, and Michael Clayton, Randy Moss. Last year I didn’t do a great job of encouraging you folks to VotE our players into the Pro Bowl and so this year I’ll give it the ole college try considering I have a voice and the players truly deserve the honor….

Six games into the Season who would you VotE into the Pro Bowl? Off the top, my votes are for: DE Gaines Adams, LB Barrett Ruud, and K Matt Bryant. On the cusp are: Utility Lineman Jeremy Zuttah, C Jeff Faine, LB Derrick Brooks, and RB/FB Earnest Graham. Graham doesn’t have the numbers per say, but the guy would have the numbers were he relied upon heavily… Who do you think deserves it early on?
