Sabby Piscitelli Safety Oregon State #38

6'3 225lb Safety, Grew up in Boca Raton Florida, where he started playing football as a junior in high school. Sabby was recruited by Florida and Florida State, but chose Oregon State due to Head Coach Dennis Erickson who left the Beavers after Sabby Red Shirt Freshman season. Sabby was tied for third on the OSU career interceptions list, he began his senior season as a candidate for the Jim Thorpe and Bronko Nagurski awards, honoring the top college defensive player in the nation. He finished his senior season with a career high 75 tackles, three for loss, a sack, and five interceptions. Sabby is nicknamed as the "Italian Stallion," Easily one of the greatest nicknames to join the Bucs since the departure of "Booger" McFarland this past season. Sabby's freshmen season was one of the toughest years of his life:
"I think one of the lows of my career was that first season," he said. "I wasn't playing, and I had to adapt to not being a starter, to not being a star for the first time since I was a kid. "There definitely was a reality check when I got to college."

This is one of the few Draft Picks I was intrigued with during last weekends NFL Draft. He should give S Jermaine Phillips and Company a good run for the starting nod.
