Jeff Garcia, with the help of Head Coach Jon Gruden and Quarterbacks Coach Paul Hackett (and an undetermined amount of money), convinced QB Bruce Gradkowski to hand over his jersey number (#7) for the forseeable future yesterday. Bruce has since taken to the #5 for the upcoming 2007 season. Garcia had this to say about the exhange:
"As much as I feel bad toward Bruce, it was one of those things where I wore No. 7 last year and I wore No. 7 in the past."
Yes you did Jeff, Yes you did. At this point, Bruce should be saying all of his hail marys daily, because if Mr. Retiree shows up, well lets just say Bruce will become very familiar with the practice squad.
