Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat down the Atlanta Falcons yesterday 31-7. The Falcons 4 TURNOVERS led to a Bucs rout.
The defense looked absolutely Vintage in that game. QB Byron Leftwich was pressured on almost every snap it seemed (I guess that happens when you hold the ball that long). Gaines Adams, Jovan Haye, Greg White and even old man Kevin Carter wreaked havoc yesterday. Gaines and Jovan recorded sacks. Gaines helped Chris Hovan record an INT and I believe Jovan Haye did the same for Barrett Ruud (that could have been Greg White, my memory escapes me). The defense played great though. You gotta wonder why the Falcons would opt to start Leftwich, he clearly has the better assets, but even the Falcons crowd could and was telling you that "Joey, Joey" Harrington should have been on that field. Oh he got in the game, his team was already down by 24 points by then.
The offense looked incredibly efficient out there having come off a Bye Week. Pittman was a little shaky, but that's to be expected. TE Alex Smith looked completely healed up and RB Earnest Graham had a nice outing. The entire unit looked like it was having fun out there.
Well folks, it looks like we've got a Playoff Push on our hands. Hopefully we can stay healthy enough to get into the Playoffs. The remainder of the season looks bright. The Bucs needed a win and got that win. I couldn't be any more proud of my team as a fan. They answered the bell and that's what I wanted to see.
