It's the culmination of another season of awesome NFL football (with some awful Tampa Bay football): it's Super Bowl Sunday. Can the New England Patriots beat the New York Giants for their fourth Super Bowl title? Can New York beat down the Patriots in the biggest game once again? Let's find out!

Discuss the game, the Bucs, the draft and whatever else here.

Super Bowl Predictions / Open Thread

It's Super Bowl week, and that means every media outlet is talking about the Super Bowl. Well, so are we - but we're doing it in the form of predictions. Will Tom Brady get his fourth Super Bowl ring, or will Eli Manning and the Giants stand in his way yet again? Can the Pats outscore the Giants despite their terrible defense?

I doubt it. I'm going with a Giants win. Both teams have outstanding offenses, but the Giants actually have a defense to go with that offense. That gives New York the edge in my mind. What do you think?

This story will also function as an open thread. Discuss whatever you want here.

Pro Bowl Open Thread

The AFC Pro Bowl NFL football team gathers in the center of the football field at the end of their practice at Kapolei High School, Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 in Kapolei, Hawaii. (AP Photo/Marco Garcia)

The Pro Bowl is here. This year, it features a single Buccaneer: offensive guard Davin Joseph. If you want to see Joseph block defensive linemen who aren't trying to do anything, go watch the game. Other Pro Bowl features:

  • 80-yard touchdowns because cornerbacks don't try to cover.
  • Pointless interviews.
  • Players actually trying in the fourth quarter because they realize their money is at stake.
  • Loafing.
Sounds like fun!

Senior Bowl Open Thread

The Senior Bowl is generally seen as the most important college all-star game in football. Seniors from all over the country display their skills and show their pro-readiness in this game.

Some prospect the Bucs could be interested in that are worth watching today include LB Lavonte David, LB Zach Brown, RB Doug Martin, CB Janoris Jenkins, CB Brandon Boykin, CB Alfonzo Dennard and WR Marvin Jones. The Senior Bowl is filled with draftable prospects, and the Bucs are sure to select a few of them in the draft.

NFC Championship Open Thread: Giants at 49ers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - JANUARY 22: Fans cheer before the start of the NFC Championship Game with the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants at Candlestick Park on January 22, 2012 in San Francisco, California. (Photo by Justin Sullivan/Getty Images)

We have our first Super Bowl contestant: the New England Patriots, who make it to the big dance for the 5th time in 10 seasons. Now we get to find out who will lift the George Halas trophy and go to Indianapolis to play the Pats. Will the New York Giants beat the San Francisco 49ers? Can Eli Manning find Cruz and Nicks against that tough as nails 49ers defense? Can Alex Smith step up with some heroics again?

Talk about the game, the Bucs, the playoffs, the draft, the coaching search and whatever else here.

AFC Championship Open Thread: Ravens at Patriots

It's Conference Championship Sunday. First up: Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots for the Lamar Hunt Trophy. Can the Patriots slice and dice the Ravens' defense as they've been able to slice and dice every other defense? Can Joe Flacco and his receivers take advantage of a very weak New England defense?

Discuss the game, the playoffs, the Bucs, the coaching search and whatever else here.

East/West Shrine Game Open Thread

It's the first all-star game of the year, as draft-eligible players line up and show off their skills in the East/West Shrine game at the Trop.

A few players the Bucs could be interested in in this game are Arkansas WR Jarius Wright, who is undersized but very fast and dynamic. Cornerback Josh Norman out of Coastal Carolina could be on the Bucs' radar as well.

Check out Mocking the Draft and Sports Illustrated for some more prospects you should be watching.

Playoffs Open Thread: Giants at Packers

It's 2008 all over again. A New York Giants team that had been mediocre for the entire season travels to Green Bay in the playoffs to face a solid team and a star quarterback. Can the Giants repeat their success and beat the Green Bay Packers at an ice-cold Lambeau Field, or will Aaron Rodgers just slice up this Giants secondary?

I'm putting my money on Rodgers.
