The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have suffered yet another injury: Demar Dotson was sidelined with a concussion in Wednesday’s practice, after playing all of Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
Dotson will have to pass a concussion test to play on Sunday, and doesn’t have a lot of time to do that. If he can’t go, the Bucs will turn to veteran Gosder Cherilus, who started 13 games last season but struggled as he did. Still, at least the Bucs won’t have to turn to a street free agent.
Dotson isn’t the only one struggling with a concussion: wide receiver Adam Humphries was also out with a concussion on Wednesday, after missing most of Sunday’s game with that injury. Humphries’ participation against the New Orleans Saints is in doubt as well, and the Bucs don’t have much depth to turn to with Cecil Shorts on injured reserve.
All of that contrasts heavily with the New Orleans Saints, who are mostly healthy so far this week.
