Mike Glennon
1. Mike Glennon is not the future QB of the franchise. I don't see any improvement from the past years and feel like all of the chatter about him is just to rise up his potential in case they try to trade him. I personally believe that we will be drafting another QB in next years draft or the following year (depending on Mccown success).Edge Rusher
2. We still don't have an edge rusher since Simeon Rice. I understand its only been two pre season games but I haven't seen anything from Clayborn or Johnson. This third pre season game will tell us a lot but currently the only pass rusher we have on this team is Gerald Mccoy.
Cornerbacks
3. I was worried about this position before the season and now it seems that its gotten worse. We are thin at this position and if Verner doesn't stay healthy things can get bad for the Bucs very fast. You can get away with ok corners if you have a great front 7 but unfortunately this team is not there yet (but close).
Jerseys
4. Personally I like the new look uniforms on TV so far when watching the games. I know everyone hates the numbers but it's not as bad as I thought it would be and Im slowly warming up to the new regime. Personally I like the white Jerseys over the red.
Tedfords offense
5. We barely know anything about the offense but seeing small glimpses and watching previous games of Tedford in college, this offense will be fun to watch (if the offense line can hold defenders for at least 3 sec). Personally from what I have read and heard it seems it will be similar to Chip Kelly's success, Trestmans success, and Tedfords spices. Lets be real anything that doesn't look like last year should be more entertaining.
These are just some random thoughts that I have about the team currently. Just a couple things fans should keep in mind about Lovie Smith. Smith has had three big issues during his time in Chicago, that was his offense as a whole, offensive line troubles, and playing way to conservative all the time. It seems like there are some flashbacks currently of his Chicago Bear games (I live in Chicago by the way), but Im still being positive about the situation because Lovie Smith isn't stupid. He had a year away to think about his pros and cons, he realizes that change must be done for him to be more successful. This is the reasoning behind hiring Tedfords offense system which will be the deciding factor if we will make the playoffs this year or not.
