No respect for the Bucs

I like to browse most sites to see what kind of news I can find on the Bucs. Usually NFL.com and ESPN don't spend much time covering Bucs topics but lately they have. All of this positive and upbeat writing about the team and this upcoming season is refreshing to see but that isn't the problem. The problem is the blatant disrespect from fans that literally know nothing about our team. I was reading on NFL.com about how we opened up talks with Gerald McCoy about an extension. This was good news for me but as I scrolled down to the comments section I realized just how the average joe fan thinks. Most of them were talking about how McCoy isn't all that good and how Suh and Atkins are both clearly better. The same is usually said about David too. It's pretty sad to sit and read how dumbfounded people are about 2 of the best players in the league at their respective positions and arguably the league. Articles about the Bucs having a great off season are usually met with smug comments about them never being relevant and always sucking. Even my own mother call us the Suckaneers. My fiance is a Patriots fan and even she has respect for who we are and how dangerous we could potentially be this season. I and I know everyone else here can't wait until we become a force again in the league. It could be as soon as this year depending on how well all of the new pieces gel. I guess all of this is a good thing because when we begin win 10 and 11 games a season and become a real threat in the playoffs a lot of people will be surprised and wished they played closer attention to who we are.
