I'm really hoping the Raiders can pull this one out. That means they would be all but guaranteed to pass up on Watkins. Thus shifting the #1 threat for the Bucs to lose out on Watkins: the Rams.
We will see how this plays out. I've been extremely high on Watkins to the Bucs at #7, but highly doubt that he would fall that far. Here are the teams ahead of the Bucs I think that could snag Watkins, even though they have other needs higher than WR:
2. Rams - biggest need is o-line, and I think they choose to wait until 13 to try to grab Evans
3. Jaguars - main need: QB. although having Cecil Shorts as the team's #1 makes it very probable they draft a WR early - most likely 2nd or 3rd round.
4. Browns - receiving threat other than Gordon and Cameron, although QB is their biggest concern
5. Raiders - Although they have a seemingly solid WR corp With Jones, Moore, and Streeter... it's the raiders. You never really know what they are going to do. That's why if they sign DeSean, they are all but guaranteed to pass up on Watkins.
And boom, the more I think about it (as long as a team doesn't trade down for a top-6 pick), the more I like the Bucs' chances at snagging Sammy. That would be incredible.
