Why Not DeSean Jackson?

Right now it is widely known that Philadelphia WR DeSean Jackson is on the trade block. There have been rumblings of a lot of teams "inquiring" about Jackson in a trade. Latest reports were that the Eagles were looking in the market of a 3/4th round pick.

Lets do some thinking right now; Tampa has Williams Who regardless on who you are is only a matter of time before he is gone. The recent stabbing incident leaves no trade value anymore for Tampa, and if cut would only free up 600K of CAP. As of today Tampa is confirmed to have 13.4million (according to overthecap.com).

Tampa could move in and "steal" yes I say steal, Jackson for a 2015 4th round draft pick. As long as Jackson would agree to a new contract, say a 5 year 45 million contract he would still be a top paid receiver making 9 Million on average. Williams is set to count 8 million against the CAP next year, I would rather spend 1 million more and have Jackson over Williams any day of the year. Not to mention Tampa and Jackson could agree to only have DJaz count for 5 Million this year and make the rest up over the next 2 seasons. This way Tampa still has 9 million in CAP space.

Also look at the fact that Jackson played for Tedford (TB’s new OC) in college and the fact that Andy Reid never would have drafted Jackson if it weren’t for Tedford’s strong recommendation. Also note that when Evan Dietrich-Smith and McCown were asked about the new Offense Tedford planned to run, Chip Kelly’s name came up both times… also note Tedford wants "speed in space" and HC Lovie Smith wants an explosive special teams return man.

I don’t know about anyone else but does DeSean Jackson’s name not scream in all of this. I would love to see Jackson on the field tearing up NFC South rivals not to mention Tampa still has it’s limited 5 picks this year and 7 for next year (thanks to the Zuttah trade). Tampa could still get a WR in this years draft to mold behind VJax and DJax.
