So I had never seen this anywhere before today, and it's dated at Jan 22nd, but it says:
"Gerald McCoy hit an escalator that took away about $2.5 million in cap space. McCoy originally had been scheduled to count $13.19 against the salary cap. But the escalator now takes McCoy’s cap figure to $15.627 million"
So what im wondering is did anyone else know this and has this been figured into the updated cap limit of 130mil today?
I had never even heard of an escalator before today. So for those of you like me who did not know it is a clause in a lease or contract that guarantees a change in the agreement price once a particular factor beyond control of either party affecting the value has been determined.
