Playoffs Flawed?

Last season the NFC South was one of the most competitive conferences in all of football. An 11-5 record wasn't even enough to win the division, now this season a team could go 7-9 and win the division. The South was a respected conference that has become the laughing stock of the NFL. With this in mind, would the NFL playoff expansion talks be a good idea? Year after year the league talks about changes they may make in the future, and the playoff expansion talks have been prevalent over the last years. For some reason many fans do not want an expansion, and I cannot understand why. With the current playoff format, a sub-par NFC South team will beat out a much better team that deserves the spot. If the NFL adds another wild-card team a true contender could make it.

Many say this expansion would water down the playoffs, but with many Super Bowl champions being wild-card teams over the last seasons, I think the competition would only increase. Playing with the ESPN playoff machine, the Eagles, or Lions could finish 11-5 and miss out on the playoffs. Those are two playoff teams any way you put it. With the addition of one wild-card team both these teams would be in. As a fan of seeing new teams win, an expansion would only increase the chances of a different team making it to the Super Bowl. Sadly the Bucs would still not make it!

Tell me what you think below on the possible expansion!
