A lot of stuff has been doing on since the end of the season with our Bucs team. A lot of people wishing for different things such as a New QB to replace Glennon, some of us want to trade up for Clowney. Some just want to look at the cheerleaders. But I was thinking. What is the Average points the Average NFL team put up this season? The answer is around 24 points (give or take a few). AND I was wondering, can Glennon avg. more than 24 points a game?
We averaged around 18 points a game this past season. Can Glennon squeeze out 3 more FGs or 1 more touchdown? A Game? If we look at a lot of our losses, that's all it took to win. A TD there, a FG here. (or a whole lot of TD's and FG against the Pats and Saints) but what do you think? With Mike Williams and Doug Martian getting healthy, with this OLine playing the way we've seen them play. With the Emergence of Tim Wright (thanks to Glennon) can we really score 1 more Touchdown a game? If we think so, then why move on From Glennon? Do we think the defense can maybe score that extra Touchdown for Glennon or at least help put us in better position to kick a FG simply because of Lovie Smith?
It's obvious I'm a Glennon guy. I get why so many of our fans want to move on from Glennon so fast. He's not mobile, he doesn't have a big arm, he hasn't shown improvement. I get all that, but what I see is that he's mobile enough, his arm is big enough, that he HAS shown improvement.
Sorry Glennon isn't very sexy, he isn't FLASHY, he doesn't run around like RG3, he isn't perfect like Andrew Luck (that kid is awesome btw) But he's good enough. Glennon should get better simply because He'll be throwing to Mike Williams and Doug Martian and Not, Underwood and who ever the 3rd string RB is. he should be better simply because the OLine will have the entire offseason to recover and learn to play with him.
My only question to you is, can this team score 24 points or more with Glennon at QB? If you think we can. I would believe that our defense can hold a team to under 24 points in a game.
