Toilet Bowl Divisional Round!

To start off this article I'm sorry if I didn't explain this well enough. Basically I took an NFL bracket replaced good playoff teams with bad ones, then using a sport simulator I simulated the games and gave a brief recap of what happened. Some may call this dumb, I just think it's a fun twist on bad teams and gets us away from talking solely about Lovie Smith.

SO to continue the toilet bowl action we had four games this week for spots in the AFC, and NFC championship games. First off we had...

Cleveland @ Buffalo. Yuck does it get much worse than this.. Cleveland at Buffalo for a spot in the AFC championship game. To kick off the action we start early in the first quarter. E.J Manuel shows he can play consistent as he dips and dunks it down the field. Once the get into the redzone C.J Spiller takes it up the middle for a seven yard touchdown. Bills lead 7-0. Cleveland wasn't going to give up that easy though. On the ensuing drive Jason Campbell hooks up with Josh Gordon for a huge forty yard play. After that he hit Tyms in the endzone for a quick three play strike to tie the game. The next drive E.J Manuel along with the running duo drove down the throats of the Browns, entering the redzone at the end of the first quarter. Doug Marrone decided to go for it on fourth and one to start off the second quarter and... touchdown on the pitch to the left! 14-7 Bills. Cleveland again had an answer Campbell hit Little for a thirty-five yard bomb. Then once in the redzone he hit Gordon for a quick touchdown again to tie it up. On the ensuing Bills drive the Bills were stopped at midfield and forced to punt, but the punt was BLOCKED! Cleveland recovered at Buffalo's forty. With just under five minutes left Cleveland drove to the twenty only to be forced to kick a field goal. 17-14 Cleveland. After the Bills ran out the clock it was halftime. To start the third quarter Jason Campbell continued to zip the ball around with accuracy driving Cleveland into the redzone for a McGahee one yard touchdown. Cleveland up 24-14! After the Bills went three and out Cleveland had the ball capable of putting the game out of reach. Campbell threw right and Picked Off Dominique Ellis returned the pick sixty-six yards for a touchdown. 24-21 Cleveland. On the ensuing Cleveland drive the Browns drive deep into Buffalo territory, but another pick! On back to back drives! Early in the fourth quarter Manuel hits Chandler for a touchdown! 28-24 Bills. On the next Cleveland drive Campbell was picked again! C'mon man! Buffalo didn't have far to go and Manuel hit Woods on a screen pass for nine yards and a score 35-24 Bills. Cleveland wasn't done yet though, After a long Cleveland drive Campbell restored himself with a seven yard touchdown strike to Gordon, Cleveland goes for two and gets it! 35-32 Bills. After a key three and out Cleveland drives deep and kicks a game tying field goal with forty seconds left. Truly an intense game, but the action wasn't over yet! Manuel completed a thirty-three yard pass to set up a long field goal try... and it was good as time expired! BILLS WIN 38-35! Player of the Game-E.J Manuel 17 for 26 for 181 yards 2 touchdowns 0 picks

Minnesota @ Detroit- The second game in our divisional round wasn't as ridiculous as our first but it was a good game. On the first drive of the game Minnesota Passed just twice but was able to drive down the field and boot a forty yard field goal to take an early lead 3-0. On Detroits first drive Stafford did what Stafford can do and diced the Minnesota defense up completely! An early touchdown to the dancing Fauria to take the lead 7-3 Detroit. Early in the second quarter Minnesota continues to drive the running game down Detroit's defense driving down the field to only be stuffed for a field goal again. 7-6 Detroit. Three and outs and penalties plagued the second quarter as the score remained 7-6 into the half. Early on in the third quarter Reggie Bush gashed the Vikings D for a fifty yard gain! Setting up an easy walk in for Reggie Bush. 14-6 Detroit. On the next drive Ponder was picked off on his own thirty by Myron Lewis! A sack backed Detroit out of field goal range though this resulted in a punt. After a fifty-three yard bomb to Patterson the Vikings again found themselves in field goal range...Blair Walsh pushed it wide left! Detroit couldn't find any success and was forced to punt going into the forth. More Running for the Vikings pushed them into field goal range early in the fourth and they Kicked a field goal to make it 14-9. On Detroits first play of the next drive Reggie's fumble woes continued as the ball was knocked loose recovered by Minnesota! Not having to go far the third string back Asiata punched in a one yard score and they went for two to make it 17-14 Vikings. This game was far from over though. Stafford showed poise and drove the ball down the field on the next drive to let Bush score a one yard touchdown to go up with one minute left 21-17. Minnesota showed poise also as they converted two fourth downs on the next drive to score with thirteen seconds left to win the game! Vikings win 24-21. Player of the game- Jerome Simpson 4 receptions 91 yards and a game winning touchdown!

Oakland @ Tennessee. A classic match-up between the number one seed and a number five seed took place this week in the toilet bowl divisional round. Oakland the laughing stock over recent years took on inconsistent Tennessee. The game was uneventful to start off, not much happened until Oakland blocked a Tennessee punt! Starting with excellent field position Janikowski pooched one through to take an early 3-0 lead. This whole game was rather uneventful as three and outs and just dreadful offenses took the field. Midway through the second quarter the Titans turned the ball over again as Fitzpatrick was picked off by Mike Jenkins, again giving Oakland excellent field position. Janikowski hit another field goal to make the score 6-0. Punt after punt until Fitzpatrick loads up and guns deep to find Washington for a thirty-five yard strike to take the lead at the half. 7-6 Titans. (This game was rather uneventful resulting in a shorter recap) To kick off the second half Oakland finally did something no one could this game, Drive the ball! Jennings took off for forty-seven yards to set up a two yard touchdown run to give Oakland the lead 13-7. On the ensuing drive Fitzpatrick was picked off again giving Oakland amazing field position. Jennings took it up the middle for an eight yard touchdown. 20-7 Oakland. Tennessee then finally showed some offensive skill! Midway through the fourth they went on a huge drive and eventually Fitzpatrick hit Greene for a one yard strike, but the extra point was blocked to make the score 20-13 Oakland. Oaakland then milked some clock punting with two minutes left Tennessee had one last drive. Actually driving the Titans had hope, then they faced a crucial fourth down Fitzpatrick flushed out of the pocket loads up and... batted down! Oakland wins 20-13. Player of the game- Rashad Jennings 15 carries for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Tampa Bay @ St. Louis. Now the game you've been waiting for, the Bucs look to move on in the Toilet Bowl playoffs, but facing a tough Rams team wasn't going to be easy! Early on Tampa Bay starts with the ball, with a nice mix of Rainey and Glennon the Bucs found themselves in the redzone after Glennon had two deep completions. Ultimately Glennon got a little erratic with his throws and the drive stalled on the thirty, Lindell kicked a forty-eight yarder to take the 3-0 Tampa lead. The Rams next drive showed it was going to be a long game... first an eleven yard run, then a seventeen yarder, then the killer Clemens hits Cook for a forty yard gain into the redzone. Tavon Austin found himself on the receiving end of a two yard touchdown! Rams lead 7-3. On the ensuing Tampa drive Rainey ate off a huge chunk of yards on a forty-one yard gain to set up Tampa Bay again. On a crucial fourth and goal from the one Rainey gets the pitch right and....stuffed! Turnover on downs. Now starting the second quarter a few three and outs were in a row for each team. St. Louis found themselves driving though after a nice punt return, on third down Stacy got the carry for a thirty-six yard touchdown. Rams lead 14-3. Now with seven minutes left Glennon loads up and chucks it deep to hit VJax for a fifty two yarder. Tampa could make it closer before the half. After the drive stalled Lindell lines up for a forty-three yarder but no good wide left! The Rams could now make their lead even more before the half. With the ball around midfield Stacy runs up the middle for eleven yards, the ball is loose Tampa recovered! After a few quick three and outs Tampa has the ball at midfield with one minute thirty seconds left. Rainey takes it around right for a thirty nine yard gain! Now in the redzone, Glennon lobbed it up and caught by Rainey for a score 14-10 Rams at the half. To open the second half Tampa forced a three and out and got the ball early. After a few explosive runs Tampa's drive stalled in the redzone once again and booted a field goal to make the score 14-13. After another mediocre Rams the Bucs were on the move once again, as the clock hit zero we were headed into the fourth quarter in an extremely close game! On the first play of the fourth quarter Mike Glennon hit Vjax for a ten yard touchdown and the two point conversion to take a 21-14 lead. Another Rams three and out see's a punt. Starting off with great field position again Glennon had confidence driving the ball down the field to hit Eric Page for a fifteen yard touchdown to take the 28-14 lead. More mediocre drives by each team saw the clock start to run low on St. Louis, Clemens was picked off on his own twenty by Revis to seal the deal! Lindell kicked another field goal to make it 31-14 Bucs. Although St. Louis scored another touchdown it was too late. Bucs win 31-21. Player of the game Vincent Jackson 6 catches 100 yards and 1 touchdown.
