As I walk into work today surrounded by Redskins fans happy that they got their first win of the season, some Ravens fans pissed that they lost to Buffalo, I'm pissed. I can't talk smack about football at all this year because the Bucs season is over. Unless the ghost of Jon Gruden returns to coach this team (i kid but they would be better than what we have right now) walks into One Buc Place and takes over this team as is, our season is over. Most of y'all know I love my team. I have been a fan since 1997. I ride for my team hard. I still have yet to come to Tampa and I was going to this year, but not now. I had us a 10-6 even with our tough schedule.
I seriously cant see us winning a game this year. And its a damn shame. We spent tons of money in the off season in the past two years and drafted good players in Doug Martin, Lavonte David, Mark Barron, Johnthan Banks. We added Darrelle Revis, Vincent Jackson, Dashon Goldson and Carl Nicks in FA. We have too much talent on this team. And yet we still have no wins. We have lost 3 games for sure that we had in the bag even without us not playing our best football. This team will eventually quit on Schiano. I never liked him and his stubborn ways. I didn't agree with the releasing of Winslow, the trade of Talib or the misuse of Blount (however I still think Blount wasn't starter material). I never liked his defensive scheme and his lack of adjustments offensively and defensively. And I tried to give the guy a chance.
I said maybe his scheme might work if he had the proper pieces he wanted to use. Maybe some physical CB's that can be left out on an island and a FS that can have the range to cover the middle of the field so we can run the single high safety look we ran so much in 2012. I have yet to see much of it this year. Even though our defense is much improved this year with the amount of talent on this team we should be number 1 overall. But its all for nothing. All the money the owners spent and the drafting we did is all for nothing this season. This wasn't a rebuilding year. We were built to win this year. And there is no way we are going to win the next 10 out of 12 games to even get to 10 wins to even be in the running to make the playoffs. Lets look at our schedule shall we?
- at Falcons
- at Seahawks
- at Lions
- at Panthers
- at Rams
- at Saints
I'll just let y'all debate which games we "might win". At this point I digress.
