Every year there are the good teams, and the bad. Teams destined for disaster, and teams destined for glory, then there are there are the mediocre teams. That is where the Bucs fall in. Every year Tampa Bay seems to either win seven, eight, or nine games right around .500. The example of mediocrity, but is the mediocrity of the closer to the winning end of the spectrum? or the losing end?
Why were closer to winning. Tampa Bay seems like a dynamite team on paper great all-around except where it matters most. Quarterback. I like Josh Freeman, don't get me wrong, its just he hasn't shown what it takes to be a consistently elite quarterback, even when he has been given the correct pieces on both sides of the ball. The Buccaneers have what they need on both ends to be great, just not with Freeman. I'm no saying Freeman doesn't have the talent to be an NFL quarterback, just not here. The pressure is to much, and he has already frayed many relationships among the locker room. Say Tampa does mediocre again this season and end up in the top 16 for a first round pick, there are many talented NFL ready quarterbacks Tampa could take this season. From Boyd, to Bridgewater, to Mariota the list goes on. Any of those quarterback could be the next rookie sensation.
Why were closer to losing. A lack of team chemistry is why Tampa could be spiraling down. With frayed relationships between coach Schiano and many players, the team is slowly turning against each other. Arguments, and rumors come out and Tampa is the circus team of the NFL. Plus with Josh Freeman under achieving it could cause Tampa to make the wrong pick in the draft and get a bust. With a bad quarterback your whole team gets brought down so look out.
Tell me below where we will be closer to?
