Week One is in the books and thankfully the most unpredictable week in the NFL is behind us. From now on, it's peaches and cream.
Yeah right. It only gets harder from here folks. With injuries, suspensions and players motivated by bonuses or frustrations with coaches, it will likely be another three or four weeks before the cream actually rises to the top.
But hey, I'm here to provide a service and if you're smart, you'll do exactly the opposite of what I tell you to do here.
I had a decent start to the season, 10-6 but I went ohfer on my upset picks. That's what I get for mocking the odds-makers.
Anywho, here's Week 2.
Last Week: 10-6 62% Upset Specials: 0-2
Season: 10-6 62% Upset Specials: 0-2
Patriots 20, Jets 17 - What if the Jets win this game? Would it validate the Bucs loss as not being as bad as we thought? Nope. It just means the Patriots are more banged up than we believed and even Tom couldn't save them. But I'm betting that he will.
Upset Special: Bills 17, Panthers 13 - Ah yes, the Mike Shula offense. Written on a napkin, debilitating to even the most skilled players. Sorry Cam. I really thought you'd rebound this season. Then I remembered Mike Shula. (Shudder).
Bears 23, Vikings 13 - Well, at least for one week Marc Trestman proved me wrong. The Vikings looked like Miley Cyrus at the VMA's a couple weeks ago. A hot mess. Let's hope ADAP doesn't know how to "twerk".
Packers 27, Redskins 16 - So RG III's sophomore slump has begun. He definitely looked like a guy only 10 months removed from a devastating knee injury. But Shanny just cares about the dubs as in W's. Not this week in Packerville.
Upset Special #2: Dolphins 27, Colts 20 - Andrew Luck did more with his legs than his arms against the Rai-duhs and the Colts let Terrell Pryor of all people run all over them. What will they do against a QB who can run AND throw?
Bengals 24, Steelers 10 - I don't get a good vibe from Pittsburgh, I just don't. The Bungles defense should have a field day and the Red Rifle should be able to make enough plays to be a factor.
