I made a fan post about my previous criticism of Freeman and how this year I will hope that Freeman gets it done and that he can be successful. I am not going to flip flop from my position (JBEN05) but my confidence is lowering. Now before I get the "Freeman hater" label or the "Glennon Lover" label put on me, I must clarify I like both Freeman and Glennon but I want Freeman to start. I have a feeling that its going to come to a point that a lot of fans will be calling for Glennon to start because Freeman may struggle.
I'm also not trying to be a prisoner of the preseason moment. So I cant blame nor will I blame Freeman for not doing much in preseason. He doesn't have his two guards protecting him and its preseason. Freeman didn't play much and he has always been a slow starter in getting the offense moving. One thing that really stuck out in my mind that I didn't like was these "designed roll outs" on a pass play. Roll outs are great on a play action pass but not on a regular pass play. The point of Freeman being able to move is to buy more time and let the play develop more. I don't the design of the roll out plays i have seen in preseason thus far. Now as far as Glennon, I like him a lot. I've seen a lot of good (and some bad) but I have some confidence in him being able to at least maintain the offense. Yes I know in preseason but still I am just nervous because I still don't know how Freeman is going to look come week 1. I hope he does a complete 180 and gets it done. But that's a big hope that we are expecting from a guy who already has a lot of question marks about him.
