Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda

Back in the Glory Days, before we won our first championship and our defense consistently ranked in the top ten of the NFL, I could always rely on guys like Alstott, Barber, Brooks, Lynch, and Sapp being on the team the next year, and the year after, and the year after that. Considering our only winning season since the Superbowl, only a few all-stars of that 2010 team remain on this roster. These past few years have been a rebuilding process for the Bucs and I have been unable to fully attach myself to any player. Sometimes I find my self questioning the transactions of the Bucs and wondering if those moves will really help us in the long run.

Here are a few of those questions:

I know the season has barely begun but after watching how poorly our defensive ends preformed collectively on limited snaps in the preseason opener, should we have kept Bennett?

What about Blount's spectacular debut with the Patriots where he rushed for 2 touchdowns, (one of which was a goal line TD), and 101 yards on 11 carries. Could Schiano have used Blount and somehow implemented a 1-2 punch everyone talked about last year?

Or even hearing the news on Wright being signed by the 49ers regardless of his failed physical. Would our CB depth be better off with him on the team?

Being that I am the fan who loves to focus on these dynamics of the past, I would love to hear Bucs Nation's thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
