Confused about the TE?

Tight end seems like the biggest question mark currently on the offensive side of the ball. This isn't a concern to anyone because everyone is constantly reporting, saying that the TE is rarely used in this offense. Even joebucsfan reported a column about someone asking Freeman about the TE position. He replied saying something along the lines that they don't use the TE often in the new system.

So why am I writing this? Well reading the past articles I remember seeing that there were reports we were really high on Tyler Eifert. I don't know why I didn't realize this till now but maybe the TE is an important position to this offense? Why would they want to spend a high first round draft pick or even trade down if it wasn't? Perhaps there are some tweaks to Sullivans offense this year now?

There are a lot of questions not answered but I was curious to hear other Buc Fans opinions regarding the TE position?
