John B from Gang Green Nation gets all of the credit for this post idea, but I liked the idea and I figured it would drum up some good debate.
I'll use his same rules:
- You do NOT have to give the team any compensation for the player
- Salary cap is NOT in play here
- Since quarterbacks have the largest effect on the game, they are NOT up for consideration (everyone would just add Aaron Rodgers and that takes the fun out of it).
I will start it off. My pick is J.J. Watt. He had one of the best seasons ever for any player at his respective position last year. I am positive he could easily slide into the LE spot, as that is very similar to what he does in Wade Phillips' version of the 3-4. We don't have many weaknesses left (crazy right?), but there are some production issues along the defensive line. Gerald McCoy, Da'Quan Bowers and J.J. Watt are all young and could form the best defensive line trio of all time afer a couple of years of gelling together.
Tell me what you think, what player would you add to the Buccaneers from another team? Remember, QBs are not up for consideration.
