So here we are another season about to begin and the predictions are going to start flying. Well as you know from last year’s mildly popular Nostradamus effect I am going to do it again this year. So we start in the AFC South home of the Colts
. So without further adieu let’s get started:
The Colts wow what a turn around last year, the surprising part is that they did it with a lot of adversity and little changes to their roster. The main reason of course they have the real deal in Indy with one Andrew Luck
, anyone that has seen the kid play will admit he is the real deal. Quite possibly a improvement over Manning (possibly). I see this team not only turning a worst to first from last year but I see this team taking the division. This team is fully behind both Chuck Pagano and Andrew Luck. They made key moves in the offseason and drafted to their weaknesses. Lock them in as Division champs.
The Jaguars, I believe this team collectively is better than the record or reputation often shows. They have a solid RB in Maurice Jones-Drew
and a very good receiver in Justin Blackmon
and with the addition of Johnathan Cyprien SS they stand to improve their leaky secondary. I have Gabbert riding pine from the start of the season and beginning his career long position as a back up as they Jags have went out and gotten a pretty good QB in Chad Henne
. I see them being competitive in that they will give teams a run for their money but they are still a few key positions away from being contenders.
The Texans, well this was last years division champ as well as my choice last year to win their division, I simply don’t see them repeating that success. The sun is setting in Houston and I don’t see them getting it together. I have this team being really close to a wildcard appearance but I gave it to the other team based on overall team strength. And while this team is stacked defensively and has the appropriate offensive weapons they can’t seem to pul it together when it matters. They will finish 2nd in the division and just barely miss the playoffs.
The Tennesse Titans have a lot of hope for their QB Jake Locker
but I don’t. I think he’s a decent QB but his accuracy is down right terrible despite his arm being beast. Good thing for him the Titans have a strong running game when Chris Johnson decides to show up. They have a decent overall defense but I still see gaping holes in their team that put them at the bottom of this division.
