I missed this earlier but I wanted to get it out before the draft, so enjoy the two hours this will be up on the front page for! We did an SB Nation-wide poll to get some NFL power rankings out there. It seems my colleagues did not appreciate the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: they ranked them 21st on average and one dastardly person dared to rank them 26th in the NFL. 26th! That's, like, Jaguars territory!
I'm a total homer, though. I ranked the Buccaneers 15th overall. No other writer ranked the Bucs that high, but I honestly cannot see why I'd rank them lower. Because I do think this team has a quality roster across the board with few holes. Their biggest hole has now been patched with Darrelle Revis, and most of their needs are just a need for depth. Sure, this poll was taken before the Revis trade occurred -- but we all knew the Buccaneers were going to attack that need either by trading for Revis, or by drafting 15 cornerbacks.
Still, the Bucs are seen as the 21st best team in the NFL. Will that change after the draft? More importantly, what will it look like come February?
