Let's say the Bucs fail to trade up into the First Round to get a key guy and are forced to stay put at 43rd in the Second Round.
Let's say that certain players that Bucs fans would like to see drafted by us slip to that 43rd spot.
It's unlikely ALL of these guys will slip to here, but what if?
What if we had a choice like this at our draft spot?
WHO WOULD YOU TAKE?
Here are the choices by position:
Tight End - Zach Ertz. There can be a solid argument for getting a reception-skilled TE in this draft (there is evidence Freeman worked well with Winslow during Freeman's GOOD year, for example), and our roster at TE (just Stocker for the most part) isn't that deep.
Wide Receiver - Robert Woods. Best thing on his scouting reports is that he's a leaper: he'll jump for high balls and catch anything thrown in his general direction. Given our inaccurate QB, Woods might be an intriguing offensive weapon. Personally I don't see the call for WR at the moment but a lot of people on this board do.
Defensive End - Sam Montgomery or DaMontre Moore. There may be a huge run on DEs in the First Round meaning a lot of top-scouted guys like Moore or Montgomery won't slip this far. Still if either do...
Defensive Tackle - Jesse Williams or Johnathan Hankins or Kawann Short. At a need spot there can be choices aplenty.
Outside Linebacker - Khaseem Greene or Arthur Brown or Sean Porter. While I feel OLB like WR isn't that high a need there are people who see it that way. So I'm giving them a choice.
Cornerback - Logan Ryan or Jonthan Banks or Blidi Wreh-Wilson or Jamar Taylor. Getting Revis solves one major problem with the backfield. But the other problem is depth and maybe even the No.2 starter spot. Maybe Jordan Poyer could get considered as well. Just do not mention Matthieu at this or ANY OTHER point in the Bucs draft. Just... No... No More Headaches.
Punter - ARE YOU MAD! NOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOO.
