"Take the money, just give me Revis"
But none of us could have predicted a trade like this. The rumors about the Buccaneers and Jets trade seemed to being getting out of control, but we can all agree "it's all about the he said she said"
Mark Dominik proved his self worthy in my eyes as the Buccaneers General Manager. This offseason he has improved the 32nd ranked pass defense with the signing of Goldson, acquiring Revis threw trade, and restructuring Wright's contract.
The Revis trade is the most intriguing, nobody would have though this deal would get done the way it did. 1st in 2013 and a 4th that could turn into a 3rd in 2014 with....................
NO GAURUNTEED MONEY!!
There are no guarantees in the contract. None whatsoever. No guaranteed salaries or bonuses

For those who think it was a bad idea
All the #Bucs just did was draft a player who is guaranteed to be one of the bestdefensive players in the league with their 1st round pick

I couldn't have done it or said it better myself. With this trade the Buccaneers have solidified a defensive backfield that was horrible. Goldson, Barron, Revis, and Wright look a whole lot better then last year, now all we need to do is get Barber back and I feel confident about the quality and depth of our cornerbacks even if we don't draft one.
Can the Buccaneers go worst to first? One can only hope, but the future looks bright next season. I think Mark is going to be one of the top General Managers in the NFL and the Revis trade just makes him that much better. Remember we traded back into the 4th last year with our 2nd round pick and a switching of 4th round picks, so make sure you watch the 2013 NFL Draft Thursday, The Buccaneers might work there way back into the first.
