NFL Free Agency 2013: Redskins sign Jeremy Trueblood

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

Our long, seemingly endless nightmare is over: Jeremy Trueblood will no longer be a Buccaneer, as the Washington Redskins have signed him. Good luck with that, Redskins.

Okay, that may be a bit harsh, but Trueblood has been one of the worst pass-blocking right tackles in the league for years on end, and yet he kept hanging on to his starting job. It was, quite honestly, maddening. The fact that the Bucs then rewarded his incompetence with $10 million over two years was even more ridiculous, and I'm happy we don't have to face that nonsense anymore.

And, of course, he goes to the Redskins. Because somehow picking up every leftover from the Buccaneers' failures over the past years is a great idea. I mean, who wouldn't want Jeremy Trueblood and Desmond Briscoe on his team, right? Well, enjoy, Bruce Allen (and to a lesser extent, Raheem Morris).
