Before free agency started, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were linked to many a player. Dashon Goldson was mentioned, and he's in town -- by private plane no less. Brent Grimes was mentioned, and he's still on the market. Derek Cox was mentioned as a top target -- and he's still out there. Keenan Lewis is still on the market. Even Sean Smith, arguably the best cornerback out there is still available. The cornerback market has been quiet, and the Bucs surprisingly haven't lost a step by investigating a trade for Darrelle Revis -- which may yet be consummated, too. They can still sign every cornerback they may have been interested in before free agency started.
In fact, just two players to have been connected with the Buccaneers are off the market: cornerback Greg Toler, who signed with the Colts, and tight end Martellus Bennett who signed with the Chicago Bears. So while the Buccaneers may not have done much in free agency yet, there's still plenty of time to do what they need to: overhaul their secondary.
