So Adam Schefter is reporting that the Eagles will ask Asomugha to restructure his contract and take a pay cut. If he refuses, the team will cut him. That move would make him a UFA.
If that happens, I think the Bucs should make a move for him. His contract wouldn't be that large, and I know everyone hates players over 30, but he's only 31...and if we draft 2 DB's and pair them with a 2nd year player in Barron, a good veteran presence would be good to have back there.
And who knows, maybe a change of scenery and no talk of "Dream Team" would help him rekindle some of the elite CB status he once had. Thoughts?
